FFL plays key role in 2017 Unity Summit this week in New Orleans

FFL serves as one of the sponsors of the Summit, and is a member of the Action Table of fellow sponsor Greater New Orleans Funders Network (GNOFN). Alfredo A. Cruz, FFL's Vice-President of Programs and Special Initiatives, serves on the Summit's Planning Committee.

Neighborhood drain cleaning helps kick off Green Clean Effort on June 4

Organizers hope the effort will increase drain-cleaning awareness in advance of the hurricane season. Partners in the effort include the 7th Ward Neighborhood Association, St. Roch Neighborhood Association, Bunny Friend Neighborhood Association, the Greater Treme Consortium, the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board, Water Wise NOLA, Tulane Prevention Resource Center and more. Foundation for Louisiana is a funder of Water Wise NOLA through its Equity Caucus.

Foundation for Louisiana awards 2014 TOGETHER Initiative grants

Grants double last year's foundation investments in New Orleans' resident-driven policy change; will address affordable housing, cultural preservation/cultural economy, economic opportunity, environmental sustainability, neighborhood safety and transportation.

Law Clinic receives grant from Foundation for Louisiana

The Workplace Justice Project in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice in Loyola University New Orleans' College of Law is the recipient of a $50,000 grant that will be used to address employer wage theft in Louisiana.
