Work TOGETHER to take the LEAD in your community; sign up for our 2017 class

This seven-week program brings in guest experts to host skill-building sessions in a variety of fields like community organizing, advocacy, public policy, and land use and development. LEAD graduates develop the skills that they need to enact positive change through their organizations and communities while building strong relationships with other neighborhood leaders from across the city. Deadline to apply: Feb. 10, 2017.

Neighborhood drain cleaning helps kick off Green Clean Effort on June 4

Organizers hope the effort will increase drain-cleaning awareness in advance of the hurricane season. Partners in the effort include the 7th Ward Neighborhood Association, St. Roch Neighborhood Association, Bunny Friend Neighborhood Association, the Greater Treme Consortium, the New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board, Water Wise NOLA, Tulane Prevention Resource Center and more. Foundation for Louisiana is a funder of Water Wise NOLA through its Equity Caucus.
