"Love in Action" Black Philanthropy Month Mini-Grants
Foundation for Louisiana is proud to announce the launch of our "Love in Action" Black Philanthropy Month mini-grants in celebration of Black Philanthropy Month 2023. We understand the incredible power and impact of communities coming together, and we believe it's time to recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions of Black philanthropy in Louisiana.
We are offering mini-grants of $500 to support Louisiana communities in hosting events or activities that commemorate and honor Black Philanthropy. These grants aim to provide the necessary resources for local gatherings, activities, and events that uplift and amplify the spirit of giving within the Black community.

Application Deadline: 11:59 PM July 15, 2023
Application Review: July 17 - July 18, 2023
Grant Winners will be announced on August 5, 2023, at the "Love in Action" Black Philanthropy Month Celebration hosted at the Andre Callioux Center in New Orleans, LA.
Together, let's make Black Philanthropy Month 2023 a memorable celebration of unity and generosity.
Application Guidelines
- Applicants must host events in Louisiana during the month of August 2023. Priority will be given to events hosted outside of Baton Rouge and New Orleans, including virtual events that can reach people statewide.
- Grants are for the purpose of supporting events in Black communities to celebrate Black Philanthropy Month and the tradition of giving and community-building inherent to the South.
- Awards will not exceed $500 per event if multiple applications are received for the same event.
- Applications will only be accepted through this platform.
